Playing Catch Up!

When we're very busy, the blog suffers. So this is a catch up post. Basically a bunch of random events and happenings that have stuck in my mind for one reason or another over the past few weeks. Ready? Here we go!

Tiernan had his first professional haircut and he didn't appreciate it much.
But Sissy made him laugh, as she is his favorite toy, and all was well!
Kealan at a friend's birthday party when an unofficial "game" of dodge ball broke out: "This isn't gonna end well!"

Kealan and I playing Julia Childs in the playroom kitchen making pie: "Momma, we need to go to the store to buy our ingredients" as she is "shopping" with her shopping basket in our supply of play food. "OK, what do we need for our pie?", I replied. "Hmmmm. Butter, flour, banana, honey, bacon..." Daddy would love this pie!

Our friends Malissa, Bryce, and their son Brock came over for a visit. It always feels as if time hasn't passed when we get together, even though it has been a long time between visits! Tiernan is absolutely infatuated with Brock, who is 9 months older than K. By the end of the evening T sounded exactly like a chicken: "Brock, Brock, Brock!"

G and I have noticed the past few weeks at the dinner table that T is an excellent side-kick to K. She does anything even remotely silly and T loses it and feeds her fire. A familiar team began to manifest in my children. Heeeeeeeeeeere's Kea! We just need to teach T to say, "Hey Oh!" and, "You are correct, sir!".

We had our first episode of shoving-things-up-the-nose here at the Gardipee Hale, courtesy of T and a kernel of corn. It actually took a while for me to get it out with a bulb syringe, tweezers and otoscope!
