Heat Wave

I could come up with some pretty choice, though fairly profane descriptions for how hot it was here. It's been gorgeous since Memorial Day with 83 days since the last rain - not much to complain about there! We had 7 days of upper nineties in a row with one painfully over one-hundred smack in the middle. Of course this was the day we took off for Safeco and the M's game in the afternoon for Tiernan's first game! Our seats were awesome, though in the sun the whole game. We had a blast baking with the rest of the city, plus the M's won! The picture above is the thermometer in the car of the temperature outside after the game.

With the heat and no nap, this is what T spent the ride home doing

Mr. Rosy Cheeks ( T's back is drenched, and check out the back of the woman in the yellow shirt - yeah, it was HOT!)

Kea plugged her ears every time the crowd cheered. Luckily, she plugged her ears a lot!

Taking a shade break. The usher walked around squirting everyone with water and there were misting stations too. (Griffey had just scored, as K is displaying)

This is the face I got when I asked her how she felt about the sun!

The cats suffered through the heat wave as well. This is what they spent their days doing. It looked like Turner was crushed by a wayward laundry basket!

I found K sleeping like this one night, as she claimed it was too hot to sleep on a sheet!
