On Friday, our friends Chuck (Chad) and Nicole had their baby, Blake Michael! We all piled in the car and headed off to the hospital to meet him. What a cutie! Long, brown hair and so tiny! Well, he seemed tiny to me, but he's over 8 pounds and 22 inches long. Kealan was a little sad that she wasn't going to see Brent, their 2 year-old, but she was happy to see "Brent's baby brother that's not in his mommy's tummy anymore". She was particularly happy to visit the sleeping dogs and kitties in the hospital gift shop. While I was pregnant with Tiernan and going to the dr. 3 times a week, she visited the dogs and kitties ALOT! They're just battery operated stuffed animals that lie there, breathing and looking very real. If they ever stop carrying them she'll be heartbroken!Sunday was Bergen's birthday party and Kealan was sooooooo excited! It didn't even matter that there was a birthday party - just the fact that she was headed to "Mara, Trynne, and Bergen's house" was more then enough for her. She took along her stuffed Bunny named Anka, and when Auntie Joelle asked her who she had, she replied, "Anka". Joelle then asked her who Tiernan had, knowing he had a bear at home and Kealan said, "Mama!" It's good to know that I'm more than a food dispenser!
Tiernan had his 4 month appointment with Dr. Joe on Monday, and we apparently have an "incredibly strong boy"! In fact, Dr. Joe felt the need to warn me that we'll have to watch out for Kea because of his strength and his size - 27.5 inches and 20 pounds, 2 ounces. He's only 15 pounds less than Kealan! He looks great and doesn't have to go back for 2 months. He wasn't a big fan of the vaccinations, and Kealan had a surprise flu shot that wasn't her favorite, either. Imagine that, a kid who doesn't like shots!
Happy Halloween! As mentioned previously, Kealan had decided to be a Bee for Ha
lloween and of course, right before we were set to leave for some trunk-or-treating at Mill Creek Town Center, she decided she wasn't putting on the costume. Well, that didn't go over very well for me and I told her that she was ruining my Halloween. When it comes to Halloween, I can act like a child with the best of them! George thought that was rather harsh, so he gently talked her into it, thankfully! Kealan sounded like a broken record when she was trick-or-treating - "Trick or treat, Thank You!" over and over. She loved it (a given) and had even more fun playing with her friends (and their parents) that we met there - April and Gregg with Gibson (a lion) and Grady (Sno
opy), and Terra and Kyle with Allison (a ladybug). At the little game part, Kea rocked the fishing game and bean-bag toss (by putting the bean bags directly in the holes! After all, that's what the lady said to do - she just did it the easiest way she knew how!), and required a little help with the golf game. Tiernan was a ferocious Leopard with a black nose and whiskers. I tried to teach him to growl with no success, so we had a talking and cooing leopard! After that we came home to trick-or treat three houses in our neighb
orhood and then it was one piece of candy and off to bed!
